Auburn Town Meeting to be held on May 7

Auburn’s Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 7, at 6:00 p.m. in the Auburn High School auditorium. This is every resident’s opportunity to see how their tax dollars are being spent. 

The May 21 voting will be held to elect town officers and committees in the areas of Housing Authority, Library Trustees, Town Moderator, School Committee, Selectmen, and Town Clerk. Town Meeting Members to be elected are in Precincts 1 through 5: 8 members for 3 years; Precinct 3: 1 member for 1 year; Precinct 4: 1 member for 2 years; and Precinct 5: 1 member for 1 year.  All precincts vote at the Auburn High School gym located at 99 Auburn Street, Auburn across from the I-290 entrance. There is no voting access through the main entrance to the high school. Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Additionally, Wednesday, May 10, is the last day to register to vote at the Town Clerk’s office. Hours are from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Auburn residents who are 18 years of age by Election Day, May 21, may register to vote in the Town Clerk’s office.  A resident may register to vote by mail, in person, or online https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/   The mail-in form must be postmarked on or before Friday, May 10, 2024 for the voter to be eligible to vote at the Annual Town Election. Tuesday, May 14, is the last day to request a Mail-In Ballot.
