Join Miss Heather in the Children’s Room for Storytime! We will read about a variety of topics, sing, play games, and do a fun activity or take home craft! Space is limited, registration is required. Registration opens one week prior to the event.

Storytime Playtime
Fridays at 10:30 AM
In this new storytime session, we will be learning and singing lots of hand rhymes with movement activities geared towards babies and young children. At the end of the session there will be lots of playtime to make friends! Ages 0-4. Registration required.

The Historian is In
Wednesdays from 2-3 PM
Drop-in between 2-3 on Wednesdays to get in-person assistance with your local history research from historian Carol Brouwer.

Homeschool Mixer
Tuesday 4/23 at 11 AM
Join Miss Heather in the Tween and Teen for a casual meet-up organized specifically for homeschool families of all ages! Start the hour with a brief presentation from Miss Heather, then spend the rest of the hour visiting and connecting with others, swapping ideas, and making new connections. Families who are considering homeschooling are welcome to attend. Fun activities will be available for children, tweens and teens. All children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.Registration is required.

Graphic Novel Book Club
Thursday 4/25 at 3 PM
Join Miss Heather in discussing our April’s book Lightfall by Tim Probert. Join as we have snacks, discuss the book, and make a fun craft based on the book. Ages 9-17. Registration is required.

Book Club for Introverts
Thursday 4/25 at 6-8 PM
Come gather at the library with fellow book lovers to read and relax. There are no assigned readings. Bring your own book or browse and borrow one of the library’s. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Meeting starts at 6, silent reading starts at 6:30. Small talk is not required. Please register.

Craft Night for Adults
Monday 4/29 at 6 PM
Create a one-of-a-kind book bag using pre-cut fabric pieces and simple sewing techniques. Participants must have basic sewing skills and ability to thread a needle independently and execute a basic running stitch. For adults 18+. Registration required.

Coffee Hour
Friday 5/3 from 10-11 AM
Stop by the Library on the first Friday of the month for a cup of coffee with the Library Director in the Tween & Teen Room. Have any questions for Rebecca about the Building Program? Need some help using the library’s apps or online catalog? Interested in volunteering? All these questions and more can be answered for you one-on-one.

Gardening and Water Conservation

Kathleen from Blackstone Valley Veggie gardens will teach attendees several techniques to hydrate your garden in preparation for droughts and dry summer conditions. Drop in.

The Whodunnits

Cookie Decorating Workshop

Sign up for this workshop to learn the skill of cookie decorating using royal icing. Learn a method called “flooding” and other specialized techniques. Leave with four spring decorated cookies. For adults. Registration required.
