Oct 06, 2022 10:36AM ● By Kim Vasseur
Fall is just around the corner and we here at the Douglas Historical Society are preparing to welcome the season and have been busy planning our fall events.  Some events will be our regular favorites like our Soups and Bread during Oktoberfest and some will be new.  We hope you will join us and help support this amazing building that houses the Douglas Historical Society.
We hope you will stop by for a visit.

Saturday, Oct. 29, 5 p.m. till the fun is done: Family Halloween Costume Contest: Make it a family affair. Come on Mom and Dad; let’s see what you can do.

Thursday Nov. 10, 7 p.m.: Veteran’s and the “Donut Dollies.” Join us for Donuts and Coffee as we say “Thank You” to our veterans and watch “A Touch of Home,” a documentary about the “Donut Dollies” who supported our troops in Vietnam. A special gift will be awarded to our oldest veteran.

Saturday, Dec. 3, 1-5 p.m. Santa Claus is coming to town: Join us again this year for a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Bring your camera and make a few new memories while you’re here.

Please check for any changes or additions on the “Douglas Historical Society” facebook page.
