On Saturday, September 19th, Bellingham Public Library presents "The American Story in Song” performed by the duo Sultana. The show was created for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and weaves history, original songs and a slideshow for a unique look at American history. The show starts at 1pm and admission is free. Bellingham Public Library is at 100 Blackstone St. in Bellingham. Sultana is songwriters and musicians Jon and Li Waterman. They have performed their music and history programs as the duo in venues throughout New England as part of their series “Live Music Making History Live.” The series was designed to encourage the celebration and exploration of history through music. The program is supported in part by a grant from the Bellingham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
