A new mural celebrating Uxbridge’s upcoming 300th anniversary has been unveiled downtown, giving residents and visitors a colorful new landmark to enjoy.

The mural features the official Uxbridge 300th Anniversary logo and marks the beginning of the town’s year-long celebration leading up to the 300th anniversary in June 2027.

The Uxbridge 300th Anniversary Committee expressed its appreciation to Koopman Lumber for sponsoring the community mural and helping bring the project to life. The mural is intended to celebrate Uxbridge’s history while providing a lasting piece of public art for the community.

The committee also recognized local artist Sheryl Estelle for creating the artwork. Her design serves as a tribute to the town and reflects the anniversary celebration’s theme of “Heritage, Heart, and Home.” Estelle is an incredible muralist who dedicated her time and effort to the beautiful piece. 

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stop by the mural, take a photo, and share their pictures as the community begins its countdown to Uxbridge’s 300th anniversary in June 2027. As preparations continue, the mural offers an opportunity to recognize the town’s history and build excitement for the anniversary year.
