The town kicks off a year-long birthday celebration in recognition of the 300th anniversary of its founding. Events will culminate in a grand commemoration on June 27, 2027.

The Uxbridge 300th Anniversary Committee, appointed by the Select Board, is sponsoring a logo design contest. The winning logo will become the official symbol of the event and will be featured on banners, posters, merchandiseand more, encapsulating the anniversary theme of Heritage, Heart, Home.

“This is an incredible opportunity for residents to leave their artistic mark on our town’s history,” said committee chair Amanda Galleran. “We want a logo that connects with people, sparks excitement and captures the heart of Uxbridge.”

The contest is open until October 30, 2025. Entries should be submitted in PDF format (no AI-generated images allowed) and must include the artist’s name, address, phone number and email. Artists under 18 should also include their age, school and a parent’s signature for permission.

The winning entry will be unveiled on December 6, 2025 during the town’s First Night celebrations. The artist will receive a $100 gift certificate and the unique honor of riding on a float in the Santa Parade. Honorable Mention entries will also be displayed at various locations around town.

Logo entries can be mailed to [email protected] or delivered to the Town Manager’s office at Town Hall. Full contest rules are available on the town website.

With the 300th anniversary celebrations just around the corner, this is a great chance to showcase your creativity and be part of an event that will be remembered for generations.
