The Shawna E. Shea Memorial Foundation announces its next Library Poetry Tour with Worcester born Poet Kris Salvi. The event is free and is part of the Foundation’s mission to uplift diverse voices and foster creativity in community spaces. Stops are scheduled at the Simon Fairfield Public Library in Douglas on August 18 and the Uxbridge Free Public Library on August 21. The reading will begin at 6 p.m. 

Kris Salvi was born in Worcester and has been a poet and filmmaker. His films and poetry dive deep into the dark heart and soul of the human condition. Salvi grew up in working class neighborhoods and used his upbringing around seedy and amoral characters to inform his stories of love, crime, corruption and guilt.
