Master Plan Update – Signed, Sealed and Delivered

Jul 28, 2025 07:40PM ● By Staff Member

On June 23, the Grafton Planning Board approved the 2025 Master Plan update.  This plan’s success comes from a dedicated Master Plan Working Group and Planning Department. The plan calls for a focus on the Town’s unique village centers for new mixed-use development, infrastructure support for industrial zones, connecting multi-modal transportation options, and stewarding parks and waterways.

The group’s vision for Grafton’s future transition from a rural town to a suburban hub underscored the importance of strategic, long-range planning. Town board members and residents have shaped a vision that balances economic development with environmental stewardship and quality of life. Whether through fostering life sciences innovation, increasing housing diversity, or enhancing public spaces, the Grafton Master Plan charts a path toward sustainable growth while preserving Grafton’s historic roots and community values.

Central Mass Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) officials say they look forward to partnering with Grafton on the implementation of this long-range comprehensive plan.
