Millbury Food Truck Festival

On Sunday, May 18 right around 11 a.m., if you’re in Millbury, you may become aware of a rumbling sound. It could be the 15 food trucks pulling into the rear parking area at Millbury Junior/Senior High School – or if you’re lucky, that rumbling is coming from your stomach, all empty and ready for a feast that lasts until 5 p.m. Admission to the festival is $5 per person and free for children 12 years and under.

The Eighth Annual Millbury Food Truck Festival sponsored by the Millbury Redevelopment Authority is back with another version of the delicious celebration that started 10 years ago (there were two years off for Covid).

There is a long list of food vendors preparing a variety of lunches and snacks – from Japanese dumplings by Nom Nom Hut, Trolley Dogs, Smash D, Say Cheese, Jerry' Ice Cream, Uncle Joey's Java, Uncle Joey's Cannoli, Matt's Backyard BBQ, Kona Ice, Moe's Sweet Eats, FGF Feel Good Food, Bird's Nest Italian Street Food, Travelin’ Bones and Sugarcane Hut

There will also be some 50 craft vendors carrying every imaginable item. Natural health remedies, chocolatiers (always popular according to organizer Len Mort), tote bags, wood craft vendors, dog accessories and handstitched bandannas, handcrafted jewelry, Tupperware and a large variety of items.

“Many of the crafts are quite fascinating,” said Mort.

Festival goers will also have a chance to vote for their favorite food truck. Last year’s winner was Nom Nom Hut. The winner will be awarded a handmade trophy, so be sure to stop by, eat up and vote.

Of course, there will be plenty of live entertainment with local bands, beginning with the MHS Marching Band from 11 a.m. – 12, followed by the school’s a capella group at noon singing the National Anthem.

Vendor spots are still available, be sure to contact the Redevelopment Authority at [email protected].

The proceeds of the Festival go to making betterments around town, such as Millbury Town Clock, Mort said.
