The Rufus Putnam Building celebrated its 200th birthday on Sept. 30 with dozens of residents showing up to celebrate. Built by the Masons in 1823, it also served as a school and headquarters for the Daughters of the American Revolution and is now home to the Sutton Historical Society.
State Sen. Ryan Fattman turned up on the day to present a citation to Historical Society President Brian Stevenson.
